How the pandemic is affecting our practice

Following guidance from Public Health England we are trying to minimise the need for patients to visit the practice, in order to protect the health of our patients and staff.

We have an intercom at our entrance, we ask all patients to speak to reception via the intercom before entering the building.

We are enforcing social distancing of 2 metres by displaying clear signage and by removing most chairs from our waiting area to ensure we are in keeping with guidance. We are asking all patients to arrive no earlier than ten minutes before their appointment time, if you are earlier then this, you will be asked to wait outside or in your vehicle (if you have one.

All of our staff are wearing facemasks, the recommended PPE and are washing their hands thoroughly at regular intervals throughout the day. The area within the practice are cleaned thoroughly after each patient including clinical rooms, chairs, door handles and those places multiple people are likely to have touched.

Patients are requested to bring and wear face coverings to the practice when attending.

If you have either a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to taste or smell then you should not attend the practice unless advised to by a GP.


Phone Waiting Times

It is very likely that you may have to wait longer on the telephone for appointments. We would ask patients to be particularly understanding of the issues facing the practice at this difficult time.
We would ask that patients avoiding calling the practice at our busiest times which are between 8:00 – 9:30 and 12:30 – 14:00 unless your call is urgent or you wish to book a same day appointment.
