Following recent patient feedback we have reviewed our appointment system and as a result our system will be changing with effect from the 6th March 2017. We are confident that these changes will make it easier for patients to access our services.
Book on the day Appointments
Morning clinic appointments will be released to book over the telephone from 8:00am. The clinic will start at 8:00am
Afternoon clinic appointments will be released to book over the telephone from 13:00pm. The clinic will start at 14:30pm
This means if you are unsuccessful in the morning there will be more appointments released in the afternoon.
Routine Morning and Afternoon appointments (pre-book in advance)
We are now offering more appointments to book in advance with all doctors. These are Routine, pre-bookable appointments and will be available to book up to 4 weeks in advance. There will be morning and afternoon appointments available. If there are none available, we advise you to call us for a book on the day appointment, see above.
Weekend appointments are available every weekend. These appointments are booked in advance.
There are appointments reserved for on-line booking. Patients can access this once registered for systmone online access. Please call us for more details.
Nurse and Health Care Assistants
All of the Nursing and Health Care Assistant appointments are bookable in advance. Please be aware that there may be a slightly longer wait if is for a specialised appointment.
You can now book in with a physiotherapist without a referral from a doctor. This is for new onset muscular, joint and back and back problems in patients over 18 years of age (if you are already waiting for an appointment with a physiotherapist, this service is not the best way for us to help you). Please call us if you would like to arrange an appointment.
Maybe you do not need an appointment…
There are some minor ailments which you do not have to see a doctor for example:
Sprain or strain
You can visit your local pharmacy first for these and they may be able to offer advice or appropriate medications. If you already get free prescriptions, this will apply.
